Information we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver the Service:
- Your WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp profile name, so we can send you messages and recognise you between conversations.
- The messages you send us — text questions and voice notes — so we can respond with relevant scripture and reflection.
- Your preferences, such as your chosen language and the time of day you would like to receive your daily verse.
- Service records, such as which messages were sent and delivered, and (where applicable) records of any payments you make for paid features.
We do not ask for, and you should not send, sensitive information beyond what you choose to share in the course of asking for spiritual guidance.
How we use your information
- To deliver your daily “rhema” verse and reflection in your chosen language and at your preferred time.
- To understand your questions (including transcribing voice notes) and reply with relevant scripture and pastoral reflection.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Service.
- To process payments for paid features, where you choose to use them.
- To comply with our legal obligations and respond to your requests.
AI processing
To generate relevant responses, the content of your messages may be processed by automated and artificial-intelligence systems, including trusted third-party AI providers acting on our behalf. This processing is used to understand your question and produce a scripture-based reply. We do not use your private conversations to train public AI models.
WhatsApp and Meta
The Service is delivered over WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta Platforms. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp’s and Meta’s own terms and privacy policies. We exchange the messages necessary to provide the Service through the WhatsApp Business Platform; we are not responsible for Meta’s independent handling of your data.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting, messaging delivery, AI processing and payment providers), under obligations of confidentiality and only as needed to perform their function.
- Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or our Service.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as you use the Service and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and operational requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from the daily verse at any time by replying with “STOP” (or “BAJA” / “PARAR”) in your chat.
- Access or delete your information by emailing info@gabbatron.com.au.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (including the Australian Privacy Principles). We will honour these rights as required by law.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.
Children
The Service is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, please contact us so we can remove their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
